20" Christmas Parol (Lantern), handmade from capiz shells in the Philippines
MALIGAYANG PASKO SA INYONG LAHAT!
20" Christmas Parol (Lantern), handmade from capiz shells in the Philippines, with two flashers and six timed and sequenced Christmas lights. For Filipinos, hanging a parol outside their home serves as an expression of shared faith and hope. It represents the Star of Bethlehem that guided Three Wise Men to the manger of the newly born Jesus Christ. The word 'parol' comes from the Spanish word for lantern, 'forol'. Artisans in the Philippines made these handcrafted capiz lanterns (parols) and imported for Pacific Orient Products, here in the US. They are crafted from 100% capiz (mother-of-pearl mollusk shell, found in the Philippines), which represents world-class quality.
